2 day Requalification First Aid at Work Course 

                                   

Level 3 Accredited, regulated course.  Delegates acquire knowledge and practical skills which can be utilised in the workplace providing them with the confidence and ability to deal with First Aid emergencies. 

 A range of subjects are covered including:

  • What is First Aid?

  • Responsibility of the first aider. 

  • Legislation/ Risk assessment.

  • Action in an emergency.

  • Primary survey.

  • Secondary assessment.

  • Recovery Position.

  • CPR.

  • Use of a Defibrillator.

  • Choking.

  • Shock.

  • Head injuries.

  • Seizures.

  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries.

  • Spinal injuries.

  • Eye injuries.

  • Asthma. 

  • Diabetes. 

  • Anaphylaxis.

  • Poisons and what to do if someone has been poisoned.

  • Burns and scalds.

  • Heart Attack.

  • Stroke.

 

Assessment Process

Delegates are assessed through a range of practical scenarios and a written assessment.

Certification

This accredited qualification will last for 3 years. 

Maximum number of 12 students can attend this course. Smaller groups also welcome.

 First Aid at Work - blended learning (6 hrs online and 12 hrs in the classroom). 

This course offers an excellent alternative for those who are simply unable to spare the time to attend 3 full days in the classroom. The online course must be completed prior to attending the classroom session.
