Why attend a level 3 First Aid at Work Course ?       

                         

​A Level 3 First Aid Course provides in-depth training on how to effectively assess and treat life-threatening medical emergencies. Delegates acquire knowledge and practical skills which can be utilised in the workplace providing them with the confidence and ability to deal with emergencies. The qualification is valid for 3 years.

What is the course content?

 A range of subjects are covered including:

  • What is First Aid?

  • Responsibility of the first aider. 

  • Legislation/ Risk assessment.

  • Action in an emergency.

  • Primary survey.

  • Secondary assessment.

  • Recovery Position.

  • CPR.

  • Use of a Defibrillator.

  • Choking.

  • Shock.

  • Head injuries.

  • Seizures.

  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries.

  • Spinal injuries.

  • Eye injuries.

  • Asthma. 

  • Diabetes. 

  • Anaphylaxis.

  • Poisons and what to do if someone has been poisoned.

  • Burns and scalds.

  • Heart Attack.

  • Stroke.
