This Paediatric Course meets all EYFS/OFSTED requirements. It is designed for those with a responsibility for the care of children and babies providing the knowledge and practical competence to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations.  This Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid is Unit 1 of the 12-hour Paediatric First Aid qualification ( 2 Day Course). It is valid for 3 years.

Course content includes;

• Role and responsibilities of a first aider.

• Contents of a paediatric first aid box.

• Assessing an emergency situation.

• CPR.

• Use of defibrillator.

• Recovery position.

• Seizure.

• Choking.

• Bleeding.

• Shock.

• Bites and stings.

• Minor injuries.

 

The qualification is assessed through a range of practical demonstrations and related oral questioning.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid - blended learning (3hrs online and 3 hrs in the classroom).

This course offers an excellent alternative for those who are simply unable to spare the time to attend a full day in the classroom. The online course must be completed prior to attending the classroom session.
