Emergency First Aid at Work - 1 day

This 6 hour Emergency First Aid at Work Course exceeds the HSE's criteria for a one day regulated First Aid training course. The course is suitable for those who may need to provide first aid to someone who is injured or ill in the work place.

Learners will gain confidence and practical skills to help someone who is in need of First Aid. Course content includes;

Legislation and Accident Reporting.
Role and responsibilities of the first aider.
Contents of a first aid box.
Assessing an emergency situation.
Secondary Assessment and Recovery Position.
CPR.
Use of Defibrillator.
Choking.
Bleeding.
Shock.
Seizures.
Minor injuries.
Anaphylaxis and Asthma.

The qualification is achieved through practical demonstrations and related oral questioning. Delegates are guided and supported throughout the course.
