What is an Emergency First Aid at Work Course?
 

The Emergency First Aid at work course (EFAW) provides the neccessary skills to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work.

Is the Emergency First Aid at Work a regulated course?
The 6 hour Emergency First Aid at Work Course is a  regulated Level 3 first aid training course.

 

What's included in the Emergency First Aid at Work Course ?

  • Legislation and Accident Reporting;

  • Role and responsibilities of the  first aider;

  • Contents of a first aid box;

  • Assessing an emergency situation;

  • Secondary Assessment and Recovery Position;

  • CPR and use of Defibrillator;

  • Choking;

  • Bleeding and Shock;

  • Seizures;

  • Minor injuries;Anaphylaxis and Asthma.​

The qualification is achieved through practical demonstrations and related oral questioning. Delegates are guided and supported throughout the course.
